Target audience / relevant staff

Staff other than passengers who require unescorted access to security restricted area and who do not fall within the points 11.2.3 to 11.2.5 and 11.5 of EU Regulation 2015/1998.

Objectives

Know security regulations for autonomous access in airport security restricted area.

Contents

Theoretical

  • Knowledge of acts of unlawful interference already perpetrated in civil aviation, terrorist attacks and current threats.
  • Knowledge of applicable legal requirements.
  • Knowledge of objectives and organization of aviation security, including duties and responsibilities of those conducting security checks.
  • Understanding configuration of the inspection / filter point and inspection / filtering process.
  • Knowledge of access control procedures and corresponding inspection / filtering procedures.
  • Knowledge of airport access badges systems.
  • Knowledge of notification procedures.
  • Ability to react appropriately when detecting prohibited articles.
Training based on current EU Regulations.

Duration indicative basis

3 hours (excluding validation test 30 minutes).

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Method

  • Theoretical course in classroom.
  • A qualified and experienced trainer provides the training action.

Evaluation

  • Theoretical : Written validation test (minimum 12/20 required).
