Target audience / relevant staff

Non-certified agents who perform security checks, other than screening, on Mail, EIC, onboard supplies and airport supplies.

 

Objectives

Acquire detailed knowledge in "Training Content" section.

Contents

Theoretical

  • Knowledge of acts of unlawful interference already perpetrated in civil aviation, terrorist attacks and current threats.
  • Knowledge of applicable legal requirements.
  • Knowledge of objectives and organization of aviation security, including duties and responsibilities of those conducting security checks.
  • Knowledge of procedures for controlling persons and circumstances under which individuals must be reported or asked to prove their identity.
  • Knowledge of notification procedures.
  • Ability to identify prohibited articles.
  • Ability to react appropriately when detecting prohibited articles.
  • Knowledge of means of concealing prohibited articles.
  • Knowledge of protection requirements applicable to mail, equipment, aircraft supplies and airport supplies, as applicable
  • Knowledge of transportation security requirements, as necessary.
Training based on current EU Regulation.

Duration indicative basis

3.30 hrs (excluding validation test 30 min).

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Method

  • Theoretical course in classroom.
  • A qualified and experienced trainer provides the training action.

Evaluation

  • Theoretical : Written validation test (minimum 12/20 required).

Validity

Maximum 5 years.
